The player may use any combination of two hole cards and three board cards for the high hand and another (or the same) combination of two hole cards and three board cards for the low hand.

• The pot is split between the best high hand and the best low hand. A low five card hand having no pairs may not have a card higher than an eight in value in order to qualify as a low hand. If there is no qualifying hand for low, the best high hand wins the whole pot.
• A player may have both the high-card hand and the low-card hand simultaneously.
• An ace may be used in both a high and low hand.
